The typical design of ankle holster for XD Mod2 pistols - or almost any pistol - is such that it offers little support for a pistol any larger than a micro size. Alien Gear Holsters took the typical limitations of ankle holsters into account and devised a new design template that ensures a more comfortable, secure carry for make and model firearm.

Our ankle holster for XD Mod2 pistols starts with a two-piece strapping design. A heel strap cups the back of the heel, which is paired with an ankle wrap that contains the holster and pistol. The ankle wrap piece wraps around the heel loop, and docks with it via a durable polymer insert. That creates horizontal and vertical stability, enough to carry even a full-size pistol.

The strapping is padded with CoolVent neoprene, which cushions while wicking away moisture and breathing against the skin. Elastic banding lets you cinch the straps tight for a secure carry, without having to worry about chafing or cutting off circulation to your feet.

The holster itself is the ShapeShift holster, fully wrapping the trigger guard for extra security and giving you the custom fit that's needed for a secure carry. Passive retention is fully adjustable without needing the use of tools.

Ride height is also adjustable, allowing you to wear your ShapeShift XD Mod2 ankle holster with most footwear short of lineman boots.
