Cloak Mod OWB Paddle Holster FAQ

What materials are the Cloak Mod OWB Paddle Holster made of?

The Cloak Mod OWB Holster has been built to withstand a lifetime of continued use. Its tenacious design begins with an all-new stainless steel flex plate, which provides the paddle holster with a great deal of strength and fortitude. The retention membrane, made of thermo elastomer, covers the flex plate and provides the Cloak Mod with more grip and retention. Its soft surface also protects your gun from damage and wear.

The curved paddle attachment is made of tough polypropylene and the rigid backer is made of nylon; two materials that will hold up to decades of hard use. The Cloak Mod’s retention shell covers your sidearm and also provides carriers with a means to adjust the retention to their gun. Simply tighten or loosen the shell’s screws to customize your retention. The thick OWB shell can also be swapped out in order to match the gun that you would like to carry. Take a look at our large selection of different gun holsters.

How should The Cloak Mod OWB Paddle Holster be carried?

The Cloak Mod OWB Holster can be worn at any position along the waistline, but most will chose to carry at the 3 o’clock position. It’s all up to you.

The OWB holster’s design also allows you to choose whether you’d like to wear your paddle on the inside of your pants or between your belt and pants. This also comes down to personal preference.

Because of its revolutionary design, the paddle holster can be converted to an OWB slide holster. This allows carriers to thread their belt through the belt insert on the back of the holster base. To change your paddle holster to a slide holster, simply follow the directions included with your holster or visit our YouTube channel to follow along.

Is the holster adjustable enough for cross-draw and the six o’clock position?

In order to adjust the cant (angle) of your paddle or belt slide holster, follow the directions provided with the holster.

How do I prevent my attachment's screws from backing out?

To prevent your paddle or belt slide’s cap screws from loosening, be sure to tighten them to a snug fit, then crank them an extra quarter turn once you reach this “snug point.”

If you plan to wear your Cloak Mod with just one of the attachments, we recommend applying a small amount of blue threadlocker to your screws’ threads.

What is in the parts pack for the Cloak Mod?

  • Regular parts pack
    • Screws and spacers of assorted length in order to customize your holster's retention
    • Allen Key
  • 2 Belt Slide Spacers in order to accommodate thicker belts
  • 2 Weld Nuts
  • 2 Cap Screws
  • 1 Belt Slide Attachment.

What are the benefits to swapping out the paddle attachment for the belt slide attachment?

If you’re looking for superior security, the slide attachment is your tool. Although the paddle itself comes complete with a secure retention lip, you may feel more comfortable by switching your paddle to the slide.

The closed design, with screws fastening both top and bottom to the backer, makes the belt slide nearly impossible to accidentally come off of your belt. Try out both and see what suits you best!
