Our ankle holster for Sig P229R .40 pistols breaks with traditional design of ankle holsters in order to create a holster that actually carries securely for any pistol, not just pocket-size pistols.

The holster starts with the strapping. Our ankle holster uses a two-piece design, using a heel strap and a ankle wrap. The heel strap cups the back of the foot, and the ankle wrap encloses the heel strap while docking with it using a durable polymer insert. This creates horizontal and vertical support.

The strapping is padded with our CoolVent neoprene. That gives the holster straps padding for comfort, but also wicks away moisture and breathes against the skin. You'll notice the difference as you wear the holster for longer periods.

Passive retention is fully adjustable, and the ShapeShift shell - custom-molded for the Sig P229R .40 - fits the pistol perfectly. The trigger guard is fully wrapped for greater security, making for a comfortable, secure carry.
