This ankle holster for Sig P229r pistols is designed to carry securely, but also far more comfortably than other ankle rigs. The straps are padded with our CoolVent neoprene for cushioning, but this ventilated fabric also wicks away moisture and lets the skin breathe a bit for greater comfort.

For greater security, our ankle holster has a two-piece design. Unlike the garter design so many other makers have employed, our ankle holster has a heel strap and an ankle wrap. The ankle wrap has a durable polymer insert that docks with a pocket on the heel strap. This gives the pistol vertical and horizontal support, which is necessary for a secure carry.

The holster shell is the Shift Shell, custom-molded for the P229 - including the P229 railed - and a full wrap of the trigger guard for greater security. Passive retention is fully adjustable, as is ride height. You can adjust the holster up or down as needed.

This holster can easily be worn with most shoes, and indeed many boots though boot height may require some accommodation. It depends on how the holster sits on you; 6-inch and taller boots may require the holster to partially ride inside the boot.
