S&W M&P Shield 2.0 9mm ShapeShift Drop Leg Holster

$67.88
No better method for open carry exists than the drop leg holster, and it so happens that Alien Gear has one of the best available M&P Shield 9 M2.0 drop leg holster models available.

In fact, one of the few. Not every maker of leg holsters offers a Shield leg holster, let alone a Shield 2.0 leg holster. The idea is that since it isn't a duty pistol, why bother? It isn't tactical enough, goes the common refrain, but what is the person who wants to carry in this manner to do?

Accept a compellingly mediocre universal holster that offers no retention? Doesn't fit really fit anything until you attach a thumb break strap? Not if you can help it. You can get a quality M&P Shield 9 M2.0 tactical holster with good fit, customizable retention and designed for a reliable, comfortable carry.

That's what the ShapeShift M&P Shield 9 M2.0 Drop Leg Holster is designed to do.

The thigh straps are heavy duty but elasticized, so they stretch to fit comfortably but don't allow vertical travel. The belt loop is heavy duty nylon web, which won't let go once attached. Once you strap it on, it isn't going anywhere...but it carries comfortably.

The holster itself is the ShapeShift OWB holster, which is custom molded for your exact make and model of pistol, in this case the Shield 9 M2.0. The fit is perfect right out of the box, and you can adjust the passive retention to exactly your desired setting or attach the thumb release for a full Level II retention.

You can also adjust the cant angle for the exact tilt you desire. There are additional docking tabs to attach Alien Gear Cloak Mag Carriers. Carry up to four extra magazines on the same platform as your pistol.

The ShapeShift Shield 9 M2.0 Drop Leg Holster also comes with Alien Gear's Iron Clad Guarantee, including the 30 Day Test Drive trial period and Forever Warranty.

It's tactical, practical and can go from the battlefield to the backyard with incredible ease. This is a better breed of leg holster.

Could not be happier Review by Michael Simi Valley

Just received my Drop Leg Holster. I have a Glock 17 with an extended ported barrel and an extended Mag release so I knew I'd need to do a little Dremel work. Easy enough to remove the thumb lock and use just the adjustable trigger housing retaining system. The straps to adjust the leg and waist / holster height are easy to setup to my individual comfort. Being able to adjust the cant angle of the pistol (holster) was a big reason why I choose a Alien Gear Holster - works exactly as I expected. This thing is extremely comfortable, well made and a great design. (Posted on 5/28/2019)

There is no more wiggle. Holster stays in one place. Firearm locks right in easy draw with thumb button. (Posted on 4/8/2019)
Awesome Holster Review by jaegar

I have been extremely impressed with this holster since I bought it. I bought it a couple of months ago and have worn it a lot since I got it. I have had no problems at all with it, and I have been very impressed with the quality of the holster. It rides comfortably on my leg, and is very easy to adjust. There are several things I really like about it, but I would say my favorite is that when I go hunting with it my gun does not get buried under clothes like it would if you had a shoulder holster or a hip holster. Always readily available as your hand naturally hangs right beside the gun. I also like the audible click when you holster the gun, and also how easy it is to change the angle at which the gun sits on your leg. If I was going to change one thing about the gun, I would make it so the gun stays closer to your leg. The design of the holster has the gun stick out further from your leg than necessary. It makes it more likely for the gun to catch on something. I have not had any problems with this, but the closer it stays to your leg the less likely there is to be problems. The holster was a little more expensive than I was hoping, but it was worth every penny. Great holster. Will definitely be buying through AlienGear again. (Posted on 11/14/2018)

Shape shift drop leg holster Review by Kyle

Looks great but performs poorly. The buttons are sticky and get hung up as well. My glock 19 is hard to draw no matter what the retention level is set to. Does not accommodate some after market parts either as in extended mag releases, suppressor height sights, threaded barrels. I knew it would not sport a glock with an rmr but with all the other things it does not accommodate I only have one of my 19s I can carry and thats my daily run of the mill glock that I dont want to carry on my thigh but am stuck with.
