They are considered an open carry holster. If you are looking for a more concealable open carry holster we recommend the Cloak Slide or Cloak belt holster, as these holsters stay up close to your body more and they are easier to conceal. We hope this helps make things right!

(Product: Alien Gear Cloak Mod Paddle Holster)

- Order took ~50 days to receive.

- Cloak Mod paddle holster advertised as OPEN CARRY holster, yet the gun doesn't "click" into place at all and there is NO other retention other than two pieces of plastic screwed tightly together around your gun. NOT SAFE OR SMART for open carry.

- Trigger guard is only ~85% covered.

This company is advertising and selling products that can easily lead to carriers having their guns stolen and used against them and others. For those who don't know any better, THESE HOLSTERS ARE NOT SAFE FOR OPEN CARRY. Trips to the range? Perfectly fine. Woods carry? Perfectly fine. Anywhere else in society? DANGEROUS. Hello Branden, thank you so much for your review and feedback! We do apologize for the long lead times and we are definitely working hard to get all orders out in a timely manny. Due to the currently national events we have seen an increased amount of orders, which has caused the production time for these to get higher. As far as the retention, we include a parts pack with the order that has different sized screws and spacers so you can adjust the holster to the retention level you prefer. These holsters are passive retention holsters so they do rely on the screws and spacers to provide the retention, and will not have the 'click' of a Level 2 or 3 retention holster.

After looking around for options, Alien Gear Holsters seemed like the only option based of reviews. And its true, such a snug fit with many options when it comes to the tension on your weapon to the angle. And more important very comfortable.**Update, there was an issue with the holster screw mounts and I emailed customer service with Alien Gear Holsters and they not only responded in a day, they sent out a new holster. The holster sits nice and secure outside my belt. Comfortable and light while standing and sitting, even while sitting in a car. The adjustable holster grips my pistol snuggly but not too snug. The only problem, which is huge, is the painful way the leading edge of the trigger opening scrapes my middle finger as I grip my pistol. (Posted on 7/7/2020)

If there is an edge on the holster that is physically hurting you when you use the holster we recommend taking a file or dremmel to just file down that edge to a smooth edge so you aren't hurting yourself when trying touse the holster. build quality is good, fits my firearms well for decent retention. Neat, modular design.
My only issue is that because the belt-slide attachment is only in a narrow area in the center, the holster flops around a little on me for where I need to carry it... the paddle seems to do a bit better because of the "wings" of the paddle that stick out further on each side, although I can't really use the paddle (hard to get on-off with my belly...)
I've recommended AG products to friends and coworkers... This item may work well for someone else. (Posted on 6/28/2020)
