Staccato C2 Holster Compatibility Overview
The Staccato C2 is a U.S.-made, single-action-only, double-stack 2011-pattern semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9mm, produced by Staccato and still in current production. Its 7075 billet aluminum frame, steel slide, and 3.9-inch bull barrel combine into a compact carry platform that offers more capacity and a more refined trigger than most polymer striker-fired pistols of comparable size. The following factory specifications determine holster fit:
- Caliber: 9mm (9x19mm)
- Barrel length: 3.9 in. (bull barrel)
- Overall length: 7.5 in.
- Height: 5.5 in.
- Width: 1.49 in. overall; ~1.3 in. at the grip
- Unloaded weight: 25 oz. (without optic or magazine)
- Frame: 7075 billet aluminum
- Slide: Steel (stainless or DLC finish depending on configuration)
- Action: Single-action-only, 2011-pattern
Fit Boundary
Holsters in this collection are molded to the Staccato C2 frame profile. The C2 shares the broader Staccato 2011 family platform, but do not assume cross-fit with other Staccato models unless Alien Gear Holsters explicitly confirms those models as compatible.
Optics-ready C2 configurations may affect fit depending on optic height and mounting profile -- verify optic compatibility before ordering if your pistol is equipped with a mounted optic.
How to Choose the Right Alien Gear Holster for the Staccato C2
Start with Your Carry Context
The C2's aluminum frame puts its unloaded weight at 25 oz., which is meaningfully heavier than most polymer-framed compacts of similar size. That weight, combined with a 7.5-inch overall length and 5.5-inch height, makes carry position and belt support important decisions before selecting a holster.
Answer these two questions first:
1. Is concealment your primary goal, or is fast access and convenience more important?
- Concealment priority: Cloak Tuck 3.5 IWB
- Access and convenience priority: Cloak Belt Holster or Cloak OWB Paddle
2. Will you be carrying in an environment where waistband access is impractical?
- Backcountry, hiking, or ATV use: Cloak Chest Holster
Belt Support Consideration
Three of the four holsters in this collection require a belt.
Given the C2's 25 oz. unloaded weight and metal-frame construction, a sturdy belt rated for holster carry is strongly recommended to maintain consistent ride height and prevent shifting during extended wear.
Carry Styles Supported by This Collection
Cloak Tuck 3.5 IWB Holster
An inside-the-waistband holster designed for concealed carry. Features CoolVent neoprene backing for breathability, a stainless spring-steel core, adjustable ride height, adjustable cant, and tool-less clips for belts up to 1.75 in.
The Boltaron shell is molded specifically to the C2 frame for a consistent draw stroke and full trigger guard coverage. Best suited for daily concealed carry where discretion is the priority.
Cloak Belt Holster
An outside-the-waistband belt holster that rides high and tight to the body. Constructed with CoolVent neoprene backing, edge-to-edge ballistic nylon layers, and a spring-steel core for a firm but flexible foundation.
Fits belts up to 1.5 in. wide. Suitable for open carry, range sessions, and everyday use when concealment is not required. The high-ride position helps manage the C2's weight distribution across the belt line.
Cloak OWB Paddle Holster
Attaches and detaches from the belt via a contoured paddle without requiring belt threading. Provides passive retention with adjustable cant and a Boltaron shell molded to the C2 frame.
The most practical option for range days or training environments where the holster needs to come on and off repeatedly without fully removing a belt.
Cloak Chest Holster
Positions the pistol across the chest, away from the waistband entirely.
Designed for backcountry carry, ATV riding, hiking with a loaded pack, or any scenario where waistband access is blocked or impractical. Not intended for everyday concealed carry in standard civilian or urban environments.
Common Fit or Selection Mistakes to Avoid
- Assuming optic clearance without verification. The C2 is factory-available in optics-ready configurations. If your pistol has a mounted optic, confirm that the specific holster variant accommodates that optic before ordering. Do not assume standard shell clearance for a mounted red dot.
- Underestimating the C2's weight for IWB carry. At 25 oz. unloaded, the C2 is heavier than most polymer-framed carry guns of similar dimensions. A belt that is not rated for holster carry will shift and sag, compromising both comfort and draw consistency.
- Selecting the chest holster as an everyday concealed carry substitute. The chest holster is purpose-built for field and outdoor carry contexts. It is not designed or positioned as a concealment option for standard civilian environments.
- Assuming cross-fit with other Staccato models. The C2's frame geometry is specific. Do not assume a holster listed for a different Staccato model will fit the C2 without explicit confirmation from Alien Gear Holsters.
When This Collection May Not Be the Right Fit
This collection is built for the standard factory-configuration Staccato C2. If your pistol has been modified with a barrel extension, suppressor adapter, or an oversized optic that meaningfully alters the factory frame profile, fit cannot be assumed without verification.
This collection currently covers four carry types: IWB, belt, OWB paddle, and chest. If your intended carry method is not one of these four options, it is not currently available for the Staccato C2 in the Alien Gear Holsters lineup.
Do not substitute a holster type not listed here and assume it will function correctly with this model.
