First, the holster is comprised of two injection-molded shells, molded on the XD and only the XD. The fit is perfect, right out of the packaging. You can rely on the adjustable passive retention...but you can also install a thumb-release if active retention is desired.

The paddle attachment is contoured for a comfortable carry, so you won't have to wear multiple layers to be able to carry it. You can also swap between the paddle attachment and a belt slide attachment, if you desire.

You also won't have to worry about the paddle attachment. The holster is also adjustable for cant, so you can have a straight drop, forward cant, rearward cant for cross-draw or even full horizontal if you want to.
