I purchased the Cloak Chest Holster for a Springfield XD .45ACP with 4 inch barrel SKU :CCH-0188-RH-L. I was extremely excited to have a quality product to take into the Alaskan wilderness. That excitement ended about 7 miles into a 27 mile ATV ride when I noticed I had somehow hit my clip release due to it being exposed, lost my fully loaded clip, and one of the mounting screws had come completely out. My suggestion, to extend the case and cover the clip release, as other companies have already done, and use a drop of lock tite on each screw. I should have opted for the more expensive locally manufactured product here in Alaska. (Posted on 6/23/2020)

I would have given a few more stars, but there was an issue with my holster. It may have been a QC problem, or it might be a design flaw. The strong side strap was not adjustable and so the system did not fit me. It seems like this was a QC problem as there was an elastic strap on this side that should have been there to wrap up the excess nylon. Once I "fixed" this problem the holster fit as advertised.

I am happy with the fit now and love the security of the holster. I hike, fish, and hunt a lot and this is much better so far than having a paddle holster always get in the way of my gear. (Posted on 5/12/2020)

Recently Purchased a Chest Holster and finally got it in and tried it out. Here is my opinion of this set up thus far.
1. Price- 5 out of 5 Great Price
2, Comfort 3.75 out of 5. For me personally I think the side straps could have more expandable material. I say this because when breathing in and out you I feel it gives no slack when you want these to be snug so that it resists shifting with a fully loaded gun in the holster. Also, not a huge fan of the material used on the side straps. Pretty rough feeling and I have no doubt will need some serious break-in . I feel if I went out on a long hike with this set up today, those sides would wear your ribs out pretty fast..
3. Holster Fitment- Gun fits snug and secure in the holster, no bouncing around. Curious how the half holster will do after time and wear and tear. But for now its as snug as a bug.

OVERALL_ Pleased with the price point and was not expecting a $200 holster feel for the price paid. I think with a little bit of tweaking this would be a phenomenal holster for the price point. The sides straps really throw me bc you want them snug, but you have to loosen up a good bit to breathe right so its not grabbing your ribs. I will probably add some extra material myself to the sides to see if it will cushion them up a little.

Hi all

Just got my shoulder holster. Was not disappointed, as always GREAT PRODUCT!!! Fit and finish as always superb. Goes over shoulder smoothly. Stitching looks professional, Has rubber grips on inside straps to grab and hold, with different buckles that are very adjustable.. Overall meets and exceeds standards.
OK now why got this one? Here up in Midwest, 6 months or more of the year have to use outer garments. Shoulder holster makes it easier to carry and use properly. It is struggle with in-band waist band holster as you may have to lift up to 5 or more layers to unholster. Also when doing lots of driving easier to access.
does take a little training to get used to handling properly, but that's what practice and training are for. this adds a new dimension to use of equipment, more options.

Would highly recommend. As always train and follow the 4 safety rule when using equipment.
