You cannot put a holster there, and a shoulder holster is obviously not going to work because it would be directly under the shoulder straps. Our shoulder holster starts with a strap harness with durable woven nylon straps. Soft enough to be comfortable, but more than strong enough to endure miles and miles of hard hiking through the backcountry. Durable polymer buckles stay quiet, and hold strong.
The holster base features a cushioning layer of CoolVent neoprene, a breathable moisture-wicking fabric that lets the skin breathe and keeps you from getting the swampy feeling endemic to other chest holster designs.
We also reinforce the holster base with layers of spring steel and woven ballistic nylon. This creates a strong platform for the holster to sit on, assisting with the draw from your chest rig holster.
That makes it strong enough to carry the most strenuous handguns. It's a perfect 1911 chest holster, if you carry a Delta Elite or other 10mm in the backcountry.
It's also available as a revolver chest holster, if your woods carry gun is a .357 or .44 Magnum.
The holster base is joined by a custom-molded retention shell, made for your make and model firearm. The perfect fit ensures greater security and ensures a smooth draw and easy reholstering. Passive retention is adjustable, so you can dial in the retention and draw profile to your desired setting.
The retention shell is canted, so that this chest gun holster has a natural draw angle. At nearly 45 degrees, the cant angle also brings gravity into the equation, ensuring the pistol is carried at an angle for both optimum security and ease of access.
