The Photon edc holster is great
Ok holster. Backer isn't big or comfortable enough thre holster digs in to my side really bad. not nearly as good or comfortable as the shapeshift holster. I would not recommend this holster not well thought out or comfortable at all way overpriced.
I’m sorry to hear the Photon EDC Pack has not been as comfortable for you as your ShapeShift setup. Comfort can vary quite a bit depending on carry position and body type, but we definitely understand how frustrating it is when a holster digs into your side or the backer does not provide the coverage you were expecting.

The instructions were worthless. I had to modify (add/cut down rubber spacers) to get the correct retention on a glock189 Gen 6 with streamlight tlr 7. Plus modify the sidecar mag attachment the same way(modify rubber spacers). After about 2 hours of assembly/disassembly I got something usable. I would have been better off buying the owb holster and mag holder ovsd the edc kit and saved about $40.

I really like the Photon EDC pack. The versatility is great and the quality is really good. I run a Glock 45 w/ aimpoint and TLR7 light as a duty gun and am able to switch to concealed carry when needed. For such a large gun set up it conceals fairly well appendix carry and is easy to get used to.
I F**kin!!! Love it I’m carrying as I write this it’s perfect it’s comfortable very versatile easy to access if need to overall very satisfied with it💯🫡
This is in comparison to their older photon pack.
The old one didn't come with the backer for IWB carry as it didn't exist at the time, and didn't have the belt quick detach system as part of the pack I can't remember what it came with for OWB carry, though this is arguably better. As for this attempt to compete with Blade Tech and Safari's system, it feels like it doesn't have the same flexibility for cant.
My biggest gripe is that it doesn't come with both a light bearing and non-light bearing holster, though I can see why. It's just extra cost for something most people didn't use.

Seems like a nice holster for OWB but rides to high for Appendix carry. I will keep it for OWB use and stay with the Cloak series for IWB. The Cloak series is still the most comfortable I have found.

EDC pack is great and has everything you need to get started and thier quick detach system is awesome only complaint is the wing doesnt allow the deepest ride setting without being in the way of the draw

I like the ability to quickly switch from an inside the wasteland to an over the wasteland. Flexability depending on my needs. I like the low profile for concealed carry.
