Outstanding quality and great retention! I’ve purchased three of these. I love being able to take them in and out of the belt slide for quick switches from one gun to another, or to quickly disarm if I need to go into a place where firearms are prohibited. I have other Alien Gear products as well and I couldn’t be happier with them!
This is, without a doubt, the best holster I have put these pistols in. By these I mean my Glock 19, Ruger RXM with standard Magpul grip, and, the Ruger RXM with the Sharps Bros. Aluminum Grip Module. Yup, they all fit this holster like a custom made glove :) You cannot find a Level II holster "anywhere" that meets the requirements of absolute retention, non bulky but built like a tank, light weight and also allows a draw that is unmatched in a thumb release design. I challenge you to find one and I guarantee you won't no matter what company you search. I am 71, did 20 years active duty Marines, combat tour, 6 years training with the Marine Corps Rifle and Pistol Team and I'm Distinguished with the Rifle and Pistol. I only mention these things to help you believe that I have a LOT of experience putting pistols in and drawing from holsters. I do not baby this holster at all !! And it will last the rest of my life (my mom turned 100 on Veterans Day). Buy one, you will then smile having read this review.

value priced and decent quality however the thumb retention leaver is way too low requiring to much vertical hand positioning creating poor grip. Much better design on the Safari land holster.
Perfect fit for the Shadow Systems

This holster has a lot of potential, but it's got some flaws that don't make it a reliable duty holster. The Glock 47 slightly out of battery when fully inserted into the holster --and while this isn't really a problem when holstering, it can be a problem getting in and out of vehicles or when performing any activity that could potentially press the gun deeper into it. The retention switch is very pliable. It bends when pressed. This causes it to bow inward and catch the the relief for the slide stop lever. Under pressure, this is a likely failure point. With a little more attention to detail, this holster could be perfect.

Love this setup. Easily transitions from my duty belt to my paddle holster.
As with all alien gear products, this holster is excellent. Fit and finish is fantastic. The draw is smooth and quick. Use it for plain clothes details, and trainings.

The rapid force level II has been great. I wanted a holster with active retention that was low profile enough for concealed carry and this holster is perfect. With the paddle it is very comfortable, very low profile, and very secure.

I will start testing the retention in defense tactics and weapon retention over the next couple of weeks in ground fighting. The initial test on the Firing range is excellent with drawing and holster. I will post videos of the testing.

I'm really enjoying my rapid force level II holster for my M&P 2.0 4.25 9MM with large light but would also love a version with no light for times I'm trying to travel light.
