I really like it. It feels nice and snug to my leg and easy to use. Fortunately, I haven’t had to use it but it feels nice and tight. I haven’t had any issues with it accidentally ratcheting either like some people have said.

Great product
Takes a little getting used to, but it is a strap that goes around your thigh, so that's to be expected. Once you get it to where it's comfortable, you can't even tell it's there. The tourniquet function seems to work really well, I would trust it to stop blood loss. It works really well with the drop leg holster offered by alien gear, though I do wish it would hqve come with a set of specified paper instructions for the whole set up since the QR code takes you to their website and gives a large list of options which seemed confusing to me. All that said, I will be purchasing a few more for different set ups and will likely have one or two in a med bag or bug out bag when I get them set up.

this is great in theory and truly awful in practice. I understand the idea but the problems are numerous.
1. this thing tightens if you bump it and will eventually get pretty tight if you dont constantly loosen it.
2. they are so stiff and uncomfortable and the plastic ratchet component rubs hard after some time. Its also very straight and not formed to the leg
3. even if you manage to overcome the shortcomings above - the plastic bits will lightly tap against the holster(or sheath) with each step if you decide to use the strap to secure gear without the REQ'd component hoster.
4. the ratchet itself sticks out far enough to be annoying +++when you bump it enough the plastic starts to poke out further and further (I can imagine getting stuck on a fence if you try to hop it)
5. IF you patrol with this on for a really long time then I would expect some extreme chafing as well.

I was able to easily integrate it into my safariland mid-ride QLS system. I look forward to getting more alien gear holster furniture for a more seemless setup. For now it works perfectly and looks even better.

It’s a great idea, but the issue I’m having is that it’s tightening up while just moving around so I’m constantly having to adjust the strap
Dumbest idea for a TQ that I have seen. When you get to the hospital and they try to do a tourniquet reduction their only option is to blow this wide open and flood your system with all the toxins that have built up. A tourniquet reduction or conversion requires the ability to slowly reduce the pressure of the tourniquet. We had guys in Iraq who thought this was a good idea to have them pre emplaced so they just needed to tighten it. What happens if it's on the other leg, or arm? Are you going to walk around with one of these on every extremity? Get a real TQ and be proficient with it. Practice every time you go to the range.

its a great product, but they don't provide any material or videos on how to attach it to a holster only (Not drop leg) or how to loosen the strap once its been cranked down. Otherwise, its a great product and great idea.

Could be wrong but gun holster videos usually show how your weapon is secure and how it's retrieved....I might have missed it.
The one thing that is preventing this review from being five stars is the the idea that when you are wearing this on your non-dominant side the taq-strap prevents you from being able to access anything you might have put in your left cargo pocket just saying. Maybe you guys can think up a work around.
The strap Taq-Strap is very comfortable and easy to set up. It stays sight and is perfect for the leg strap/ TQ combo!
The product is well made….easy yo install and comfortable. Unforntunately I cannot use them. Our SOP allows only OD Green or Tan for use in after market non issued items. I ordered Tan but was sent black. They come in a clear package so its unlikely someone put the wrong color in the wrong box. Dissapointing for sure. Our security teams are authorized for black, ill give them to one of those guys.I would return them but our unit account takes the purchase and holds it against your annual allowance even if its returned….so might as well make use of them.
Works amazing and fast for application use
Extremely sturdy. High quality. I was worried about failure points but nothing detected yet. My only qualm is that as I wear it the rachet tightens up through my shift.
Bonus points: now I have a built in fidget toy.

Relatively easy to install on my drop leg holster. I feel confident that if I ever needed it, I could do so without issue. My only complaint after wearing it on duty now for the last 30 days is the buckle catching on items that are attached to my outer carrier vest. Usually only happens when I've been in the drivers seat and go to get out of the truck. The strap wants to tighten up a click or so, but as long as I remember to loosen it up, all is good.

Got it integrated with Alien Gear's leg drop holster. Haven't had to actually use it yet (thankfully), but have half-cranked it to test it and it works well. Very good backup system.
