Love the holster it’s comfortable and is an easy on an off
No instructions, QR code gives you 5 lines to put it together and if you manage to get it together there is a 1/4 inch gap at the bottom that looks like it will fall apart at any moment. I have an older version for a different model gun and I swear by it. This however, is pathetic. Its not even close to fitting together, staying secure or feeling secure. This was for my better half and I dont feel safe with that holding a loaded firearm.
Amazing products and comfortable fit
As I finally got old enough to carry, I did a lot of research for the best holsters and the most comfortable holsters. I had a very minimalist plastic clip that was pretty bad. After talking to multiple people and hours of YouTube research (and a hefty sale) I got the core carry pack which has so many options. The pad itself is super comfortable and snug. Once I got the hang of assembling and disassembling the holster to change positions it was great. The adjustable retention is a nice feature. I usually carry appendix with the single clip and even with my full size G17 it is snug and rides really well. I'm a skinny tall guy so printing a full-size is a bit of a problem with any holster, but the lion does not concern himself with printing, but with that said I cant the holster and I have virtually no printing even with shorts and a t-shirt. This is also without an actual carry belt, just an OCP rigger style belt My buddy recommended the black arch protos, which might be something for later but this pack is the most bang for your buck. And you can buy just the shell for a different gun and use the same pad and guts. Walking: excellent. Running: no worries about it falling out, solid. Sitting: I can hunch over forward just fine, but I dont have a beer gut so that helps. Driving: same as sitting, no problems.
The product that was sent to me was defective and because of it. My pistol would not snap in when I carried it or tried to carry it in the appendix setup.
I reached out to customer service and they said that I was configuring it wrong. I sent customer service pictures to show them that I was using the correct pieces for the setup. Customer service came back even with the pictures and said that I was using pieces that was not even pictured in my setup. I asked for a refund twice. I'm still stuck with a defective product that I cannot use in the way that I like to carry my protection.
Fits my gun very well. Adjustable retention works good. I haven't used every carry position yet, but so far, I'm really happy with the holster. I've been thinking about buying the shape-shift for like 5 years, and I'm glad I finally did.
It's a great value and work perfectly. If I were choosy, I would have loved a paddle included, but the pack is a great kit with incredible flexibility. I'm a fat dude and this kit worked well for me. I actually use the wider IWB piece for appendix carry. The actual appendix piece works great, I'd just like if it came with a claw as well. But the wide one is my cheat code as a bigger guy. Manual said I should have a thumb release. Wasn't in the box. Customer service said it was discontinued in October and that I'm out of luck and they can't send one to me. Will never buy again from Alien Gear. Company has gone WAY down hill since I started buying their products years ago.
I bought this for my Glock 43x which is MOS thinking that it just wouldn’t fit a red dot. Unfortunately it doesn’t fit at all because of the rail. It’s 2025 why is there no MOS option?!
Love how comfortable it is and how easily interchangeable the holster is. Easily go from OWB carry to IWB carry in no time
The osp left handed iwb holster the sight part of the shell blocks the slide lock from going on and it wouldn't fit my holosun sight. But it was an easy fix by cutting the sight guard part of the shell now I can put the slide lock on and the shell fits my sight why it wasn't done like that from the get go so it can fit all different red dots.
Not a big fan
In all honesty it is as complete a system as one can get. There are so many options on how to configure the holster; it is so versatile for how you want to carry. I guess my only complaint is that while it is made for your pistol it still looks generic compared to Cloak Tuck. That being said, how adjustable and configurable it is makes it a really great value.

We did want to clarify one point regarding the shell design. While the shell may appear more streamlined than our Cloak Tuck series, it is NOT a generic shell. Each ShapeShift® shell is molded specifically for the firearm selected and is designed to closely resemble the side profile of the actual firearm while providing proper retention and compatibility across the ShapeShift® Modular Holster System.

The best holder on the market. As a recovery agent and a member of a church safety team I can say that there is no other I would use. These are comfortable, carry well and are great for different applications and carry options. The fact I can carry different pistols on the same holster with an easy change of the shell is amazing as well. This requires no tools to swap around or adjust either.
Received the order on the expected date, but the item sent to me was not new. Looks like the item was purchased then return and re-sent to me. There was no hardware kit or Allen wrench, and the pieces were already partially assembled. I am not sure if everything that was supposed to be in the package arrived.

I have used Alien Gear Holsters for decades and they keep getting better...which is odd since it's hard to improve on perfection. They fit perfectly and custom fit for each model of handgun, not "universal fit" that leaves slack in places, they are custom made for each model and done so perfectly you'll feel no give/wobble anywhere. They are amazing quality material also, you'll never fear of something breaking, stripping a ****, expanding and loosening...none of those concerns. I've had many styles of their holsters for many years and they still fit perfectly as the first day I got them. Just purchased a few more for different models and added the leg strap holster for a 1911 and springfield xdm, cannot be more pleased with how comfortable it is and the method of attaching the belt clip. Unlike others, this thing is customizable for your height, leg size, belt thickness, etc. Amazing products!
Wasn't the best hoster at all. The appendix carry is super comfortable, but it prints crazy. You might as well be wearing it outside. The waistband. It needs a claw or some type of attachment to keep it closer to the body, though.It is comfortable it's unwearable. I like the shape shifter on my side. But again, you can see the firearm through every shirt. If you move the wrong way, it's not concealable. 5/10

Always being a fan of Alien Gear, I knew the Shapeshift would be exactly what I need for my G20. I don’t carry it a lot, but when I do, I want the option to carry it OWB or IWB depending on what I’m doing. Without having to buy multiple holsters for it, the Shapeshift continues to be the best option.
It was a great purchase, but I should have read all the details first. Didn't know that had to build ever option to carry. All in all i use it everyday
Love the options, but pistol does not fit well. Turn it upside down and it drops. Not a snug fit at all.
