ShapeShift Glock 19 Shoulder Holster by Alien Gear Holsters

Alien Gear specializes in all forms of concealed carry, and we can now offer you the best Glock 19 shoulder holster that you're likely to find in this or any other universe. No other shoulder holster design is designed to carry as comfortably, securely, or to be adjusted as needed for the perfect shoulder carry. The ShapeShift Glock 19 holster is compatible with all generations of Glock pistols, including Gen 5.

With many other designs of shoulder holster, Glock 19 carry is not the most comfortable due to the materials, weight distribution and also carry position. Ours uses a clover harness to allow the straps to find a natural resting point. Clips anchor the straps to the belt, allowing for better weight distribution. You can also raise or lower the gun holster, so it carries in a comfortable location.

This Glock 19 leather shoulder holster also has straps padded with our CoolVent neoprene, which cushion while wicking away moisture and letting the skin breathe. This Glock 19 shoulder holster is comfortable enough to be concealed under a shirt. So long as it isn't slim-fitting, it won't print either.

No other shoulder holster for Glock 19 pistols allows you the same degree of customization.

The holster base is adjustable for grip cant. Carry horizontally, with an upward or downward tilt, or as a Glock 19 vertical shoulder holster. You can swap the holster base and the mag carrier base - which will carry up to two spare magazines and is also adjustable for cant angle - to carry right or left-handed. The straps have plenty of room for adjustment, so you can find the right setting for a fantastic fit.

The holster itself, the ShapeShift half-shell configuration, is custom-molded for the Glock 19, giving you perfect fitment right out of the box with customizable passive retention. The holster also comes with a removable thumb break. Carry with or without it; it's entirely up to you.

You also get the benefit of peace of mind, with Alien Gear's Iron-Clad Guarantee. Start with a 30 Day Test Drive, a trial period after purchase during which you can return the holster for a full refund. We also fully warranty this holster for life, so any issue you ever have will be repaired or you will get a brand new one.

If you're ready for a better way to shoulder carry, get your Test Drive started today!

Worth The Wait Review by DANIEL

I ordered my holster just as this whole COVID-19 thing started and waited well over a month for it to come in. I do have to say though that it was worth it. The craftsmanship is outstanding and the comfort is top-notch. The only con I have is that holster insert will not accommodate a light on the front of my pistol. It would be a nice future add on for the product. I for one would purchase it and I believe I am not alone. Other than this small con I have nothing bad to say about the product. A well-made holster that fits my pistol nicely and has multiple adjustment/personalization options. (Posted on 6/16/2020)
Great Product With Room For Improvement Review by Josh

First, I would like to state that this is a great product. The quality of the workmanship put into this handmade leather holster is superb. However, there are some design flaws that I would like to point out. Also note that I purchased two of these holsters, one for myself and one for my father. Over the last 60 days our experiences have been the same. The first issue we had is the design of the magazine portion of the shoulder rig. The mag pouches are plastic and adjustable, and though they do have rounded edges they poke you on soft inside of the arm. I attempted to muscle through this discomfort for 30 days but just could not get past it. Therefore, I removed the mag carrier and switched to the included link, my father told me not long after that he did the same. This brings in a second issue, as now the whole rig wants to pull towards the firearm side due to the weight. The link only allows you to loop two mag side shoulder straps. It does not allow you the option to reuse the included belt strap found on the mag paddle. If this function did exist, I would not only be able to keep both sides of my pants up but also even out the distribution of the entire rig. My Father and I would honestly be willing to pay a little more for the leather flap that is provided on the firearm side to be included, as it resolves the exact issue that would exist for the firearm. On a side note, the customer service line has the nicest ladies I have ever dealt with. At the time of my order they were having tech issues and the conformation emails were not going out. I reached out customer service by phone and the lovely lady that answered provided me with my information. She also explained to me that the leather portions are all hand made to order and that it would take longer than I expected to receive these. Since one was purchased as a gift and time was a factor to me, she assisted me in canceling my original order and reordering with expedited shipping. She also proceeded to call me back several days later to ensure that I received all my conformation emails once the Alien Gear email servers were back online. This level of service has made me and my father customers for life. Thank you all for what you do. (Posted on 5/30/2020)
WAY Too Bulky! Review by EDCD

I have several quality Alien products, which work very well and I use for EDC. When I was looking for a shoulder holster, I naturally went with the ShapeShift Shoulder Holster. Unfortunately, this product is a complete miss for Alien Gear, so much so that I believe they should scrap this design entirely and "go back to formula." First and foremost, for something you want concealed, this is the bulkiest shoulder holster on the market. From the extra thick should straps, to the beefy adjustment buckles to the extra thick padding on the holster itself, this will print unless you're wearing a huge parka on a expedition to Antartica. Seriously, it's that big. In addition, due to the bulk, you'll ALWAYS know you're wearing the ShapeShift Shoulder Holster. I returned this and purchased another brand with thin shoulder straps, a sturdy, yet low-profile holster, and snug dual-mag pouch. I can wear a thin jacket or hoodie and you'll never know I'm wearing it. Alien Gear's customer service was accommodating with my return. I'm sure Alien Gear won't print this review, but if they do, you've been warned. (Posted on 3/16/2020)

Sooooo disappointed Review by SH

The instructions that come with this product are as bad, maybe worse, than your youtube video with the fat guy. How about a complete list of all the parts that are included (think IKEA, the gold standard in assembly instructions) with the holster? The step by step photos included (and on the website) are small and dark and may make sense to someone who works with these everyday but are utterly unintuitive to a new user. Decided I wanted to configure this holster with the thumb release...MISTAKE! The thumb release is horrible. Think of a Blackhawk holster with trigger finger release...nice and easy. This is the complete opposite. There is a piece attached to the shell that does not appear in any of the photos or instructions and makes it impossible to complete the assembly. Finally had to remove it and I still do not know what it is for or why it was attached to the shell. Started to reconfigure it back to the thumb break and there are no instructions anywhere that clearly shows how to do this. Alien Gear, re-do all of your instructions with these following guide lines: Photograph every single piece of your holster on a WHITE BACKGROUND! Number them and name them. When describing how to assemble it in each configuration, list all the pieces you will need (again, think IKEA). How about having a series of short, clear concise videos on your website showing the various configurations from a complete dismantle to full assembly? My buddy and I f*cked around with this for 2 hours last night and came away with a greater appreciation for IKEA and Blackhawk holsters. Unfortunately I cannot return this because the 30 day test drive has expired. Now I will have to try and unload this on someone else. What a waste of $140. Soooo disappointed, as I had read all the "5 star" reviews on your website and bought in hook, line and sinker. Anyone want to buy this one for real cheap? (Posted on 1/5/2020)

Excellent holster great for all day carry. Extremely comfortable once fitted to my needs and size. I have worn this holster on many 12+ hour days and trips with no issues at all. Worn it to check trail cameras in hunting season and its a great fit! (Posted on 12/11/2019)

If you are looking for a shoulder holster this is the one. Out of the box I could tell that someone put a lot of energy into the design and wearability. After an hour of reconfiguring and adjusting, I wore this thing with a fully loaded g22 and two double stack mags for 10 hours straight! I didn't want to take it off! Two things: if you use the belt hooks and they ride on your skin, request a couple of extra leather loops to cover them. Second, get some saddle soap or leather oil to quiet down the new leather noise. Now for the pros:

Thumb lock paddle is nice and big without intruding. It mounts on the shell in a place that makes it's function very intuitive. The shell fits the frame like a glove and doesn't rattle but it's still loose enough to draw quickly and quietly and is just as easy to reholster. The cross strap is very comfortably padded and well placed. It will not ride up your neck. The shell rides close to the ribs so that it minimizes interference with your normal movements. Here's the most important pro: it does not interfere with driving. Even if you are shifting an 18speed all day it stays out of the way. This is the best most practical way I have found to EDCC a large frame. Just get it. It exceeds brands that charge way more. Totally worth the money. (Posted on 11/27/2019)

Just received the Shape Shift Shoulder holster for my Gen3 Glock 19 on Friday. Out of the box the holster came fully assembled with instructions on how to add or remove features such as the thumb break, thumb release button and passive retention add on. The instructions also showed with diagrams on how to adjust the cant of both the fire arm and mag buckets (magazine holders) . After I fully disassembled the holster I adjusted it to my body type which is Big Handsome Man lol and I immediately could fell the difference from other high priced traditional shoulder holsters. This holster took out all the down falls of traditional holsters and added extra comfort features. I cannot wait to get my full video review out on my channel so I can tell my viewers about this amazing product. (Posted on 11/9/2019)
Nice for the price, but should i have spent more? Also left handed warning Review by left handed sig

Price:
This product seems like a good value for the price as the mitch rosen and galco offerings are hundreds more. While being made of "English bridle leather", there are elastic pieces connecting the leather together, and those elastic pieces will eventually die (think worn out underwear).. this holster will not be a lifelong item, where the aforementioned full leather items will never appreciably degrade. Should I have paid more for a better item that I'll have for life?

Shipping:
Shipping was atrocious, taking a almost a complete month. Want it sooner? Be prepared to fork over as much as an extra $71 to get it shipped in a reasonable time frame. I feel as if I loaned Aliengear $140 for a month. And then when it did "ship", on a Saturday afternoon, only a tracking number was printed.. UPS did not take possession of the item until the following Tuesday! Misleading to be sure. Ordered on Sept 25th, arrived on October 19th. Amazon Prime has spoiled us and I cannot help but feel Aliengear has attempted to capitalize on our 2019 shipping expectations.

The actual holster:
This is a well thought out but fiddly item, and was not fully designed for left handed people. The plastic clamshell that the gun fits into fits exactly. The 2 spare clip containers on the offhand side can be snugged down to a single stack 9mm; nice touch to add the hex keys needed to adjust inside the item. The whole setup seems a bit too big for a 5'10" 161 pound human; I've got the adjustments wound all the way down and it still isn't taut, but is acceptable.

Retaining the firearm can be achieved through three different methods:
- an adjustable passive tab that clicks past the trigger guard
- aforementioned tab plus a leather snap thumb break
- a right handed only positive thumb release

Only 1 of the 3 works 100% for me: the adjustable passive tab. It can be adjusted so tight that you cannot get the firearm out of the holster and then backed off to your preferred break point. Adding the leather thumb break to the passive tab made the firearm difficult to insert and near impossible to retrieve; appears it was an afterthought and wasn't designed for the clam shell to contain both the gun and a strip of leather, though I'll have to revisit that. And finally, the thumb break (my preferred retention method) cannot be switched to left hand; you'll be using your pointer finger to release the thumb break if left handed.

The little plastic knobs/quick releases are a bit cheesy: they are tool-less but it looks like they might break or wear out sooner rather than later. Tiny, easy to lose. I would have preferred a tool-required option but that goes against the rapid reconfigure modular ecosystem Aliengear is creating.

All in all, the item looks great/classy, is well hidden under a sports coat, and seems worth the money. Shipping was offensive, and it was disappointing that the thumb break is right handed only. I was not looking to get into an Aliengear ecosystem; just wanted a nice shoulder holster. (Posted on 10/28/2019)
Great Shoulder Holster but read for details Review by WG

I used a shoulder holster for the first time on a recent deployment and loved the feel, so I figured I'd get one for my personal carry weapon, a Sig P226. This holster has an amazing look and feel. I agree with a couple of the other reviews though. The instructions weren't quite clear in certain areas and you should have the same cover for the magazine holders as you do for the pistol so it doesn't scrape your arm. In addition, it took about 3 hours for me to set up, but I am a bit of a perfectionist. Being a bigger guy, I had to use a Phillips screwdriver to adjust the straps and the screws are extremely small, so make sure you keep track of them. Adjusting the straps was a little bit of a pain, but only because the leather is new and tight. Since I lowered the rig, I had to take the belt hooks off because they were too low and couldn't be adjusted anymore. I probably wouldn't have liked using them anyway. The rig came assembled but I had to take the holster apart because the Sig was too big. I had to swap the medium rubber spacers on the barrel side of the holster for the larger spacers. Still a little tight because of the thumb break, but hopefully that will change over time. The trigger side of the gun is a little loose, but if I tighten down that side (bottom) any more, the pistol won't come out easy. Adjusting the cant on the holster was easy enough but had to watch a video on how to cant the magazines. Now that I know how, it couldn't be easier. Overall a great buy and I look forward to getting some use out of it. (Posted on 9/21/2019)
