Glock 35 Holster Compatibility Overview

The Glock 35 is an Austrian-made, striker-fired, long-slide semi-automatic pistol chambered in .40 S&W, produced by Glock across Gen3, Gen4, and Gen4 MOS configurations.

Its extended barrel and elongated slide give it a distinct competition-oriented profile that sets it apart dimensionally from standard full-size Glock models. The following factory specifications determine holster fit:

  • Caliber: .40 S&W
  • Barrel length: 5.31 in.
  • Overall length: ~8.82 in.
  • Height: 5.47 in. (with magazine)
  • Width: 1.30 in.
  • Unloaded weight: ~24.69 oz. (without magazine)
  • Frame: Polymer
  • Slide: Steel
  • Action: Striker-fired, Glock Safe Action system

Fit Boundary

Holsters in this collection are molded to the Glock 35 frame geometry.

The G35's extended slide and 5.31-inch barrel make it dimensionally longer than standard Glock full-size models -- do not assume cross-fit with other Glock pistols unless Alien Gear Holsters explicitly confirms those models as compatible.

Gen4 MOS configurations with a mounted optic may affect holster fit; verify optic compatibility before ordering if your pistol carries a mounted red dot.

How to Choose the Right Alien Gear Holster for the Glock 35

Consider the G35's Competition Profile First

The Glock 35 was purpose-built for practical shooting, not concealed carry. Its 8.82-inch overall length and extended slide make it a large pistol to carry concealed.

IWB carry is possible for larger-framed shooters or under heavier outerwear, but the G35's dimensions mean that OWB, drop leg, and chest options will generally offer more comfort and practicality for most users.

Match the Holster to Your Context

  • Concealed carry under outerwear -- Cloak Tuck 3.5 IWB Holster
  • Open carry, range use, or training -- Cloak Belt Holster or Cloak OWB Paddle Holster
  • Tactical or field use with body armor or vests -- Swivel Drop Leg Holster
  • Backcountry, ATV, or pack-restricted carry -- Cloak Chest Holster
  • Vehicle, safe, or modular mounting -- Hook and Loop Holster

The G35's weight (approximately 24.69 oz. unloaded, heavier when loaded) means belt support matters for any belt-mounted option.

A sturdy belt rated for holster carry is recommended across all four belt-dependent styles in this collection.

Carry Styles Supported by This Collection

Cloak Tuck 3.5 IWB Holster

An inside-the-waistband holster designed for concealed carry. Features CoolVent neoprene backing, adjustable ride height, adjustable cant, and tool-less clips for belts up to 1.75 in.

The Boltaron shell is molded to the G35 frame for a consistent draw and full trigger guard coverage. Given the G35's length, a longer cover garment is required to prevent printing.

Cloak Belt Holster

An outside-the-waistband holster that rides high and tight to the body on a belt up to 1.5 in. wide. Constructed with CoolVent neoprene backing, edge-to-edge ballistic nylon layers, and a spring-steel core.

Distributes the G35's weight across the beltline for extended wear. Suitable for open carry, range sessions, and training.

Cloak OWB Paddle Holster

Attaches and detaches from the belt via a contoured paddle without requiring belt threading. Provides passive retention with adjustable cant and a Boltaron shell molded to the G35 frame.

The most practical option for range days, competition use, or training environments where the holster needs to come on and off frequently.

Swivel Drop Leg Holster

Positions the pistol on the thigh below the waistband for fast access when wearing tactical clothing, plate carriers, or body armor that restricts hip-level holster placement.

The swivel mount reduces torque during movement. Designed for field and tactical use, not everyday concealed carry.

Cloak Chest Holster

Mounts across the chest and distributes the pistol's weight away from the waistband entirely.

Intended for backcountry carry, ATV riding, or hiking with a loaded pack when waistband access is blocked or impractical. Not designed as a concealment option for standard civilian environments.

Hook and Loop Holster

Provides modular mounting flexibility for vehicle mounting, quick-access safes, or tactical setups where a standard belt or body mount is not appropriate. Designed for stationary or vehicle-based access rather than on-body carry.

Common Fit or Selection Mistakes to Avoid

  • Selecting IWB without accounting for the G35's length. At 8.82 inches overall, the G35 is one of the longest pistols commonly carried on the body. Cover garments need to be long enough to prevent muzzle print below the hem, and body type will significantly affect IWB comfort.
  • Assuming optic clearance on MOS configurations. Gen4 MOS variants support factory optic mounting. If a red dot or other optic is installed, confirm that the holster variant is listed as optic-compatible for the G35 before ordering.
  • Substituting a holster from another Glock model. The G35's longer slide and barrel mean it will not seat correctly in holsters molded for standard-length Glock pistols. Only use holsters confirmed for the G35.
  • Using the drop leg or chest holster for everyday concealed carry. These carry styles are purpose-built for field, tactical, or outdoor use. They are not designed for civilian concealment in everyday environments.
  • Using the hook and loop holster as a primary on-body carry solution. This holster is designed for mounting to surfaces or gear, not for standard belt or waistband carry.

When This Collection May Not Be the Right Fit

This collection is built for the standard factory-configuration Glock 35. If your pistol has been modified with a barrel extension, suppressor adapter, or a compensator that alters the factory frame or barrel profile, fit cannot be assumed without verification.

Similarly, Gen4 MOS configurations with an installed optic that changes the slide profile height should be verified for holster shell clearance before ordering.
