Smith and Wesson M&P9 Shield EZ Cloak Belt Holster

The Smith and Wesson M&P9 Shield EZ Cloak Belt Holster is for the person who prefers their carry gear to be flexible. Go from concealed carry to open carry at the drop of a hat, and carry comfortably in any situation. Try one on for yourself and see how easily that can be done.

This Smith and Wesson M&P9 Shield EZ OWB holster is made to excel at both purposes. It rides high and tight to the body. The ride position of this holster allows for easy OWB concealed carry with minimal layers being needed. Many customers have found as little as a t-shirt is needed for effective concealment, or a light outer layer such as a loose flannel shirt.

This M&P9 Shield EZ holster works with both 1.5-inch and 1.75-inch belts. Select the appropriate belt loops for the belt that you wear most often. It works with leather belts or with tactical web belts alike.

The holster base is a revised version of the base of the Cloak Tuck 3.5, featuring the same materials. The backing layer is our CoolVent breathable neoprene, which breathes against the skin and wicks away moisture for comfort. The edges are bound for further comfort. At last, an OWB that's comfortable to wear!

The base of this M&P9 Shield EZ concealed carry holster is reinforced with edge-to-edge layers of woven ballistic nylon and spring steel. The reinforcing materials create a strong base to draw from and reholster to. You'll notice the holster flexes to fit your shape, but remains strong and stable during training and range days.

You can set retention by adjusting the mounting hardware of the custom-molded retention shell. This gives you the draw and retention profile you want. You can even customize it with the included Parts Pack.

The Smith and Wesson M&P9 Shield EZ Cloak Belt Holster is made in the USA, and comes backed by Alien Gear Holsters' Iron-Clad Guarantee. We give you a 30 Day Test Drive trial period after purchase, and warranty the holster for life.

If you trade in your Shield 9 EZ for a new gun, we'll even trade retention shells with you so you can keep using it.

Start your Test Drive today, and carry in comfort!

Cloak Belt Holster Review by Bear

after not even a week of using this holster I almost lost my CCW, the nuts came off the belt loops and the holster came loose on one side. I used locktite like I always do but it pulled the threads off the screws. Hopefully just a bad batch of screws but My first ever issue with AG Holsters. Thankfully the Officer that saw me Printing/Flagging wasnt in a bad mood so it was just a warning. (Posted on 7/21/2020)

Just received my Cloak Belt Holster; had to wait a couple extra weeks but WELL worth the wait. Again, Alien Gear has proven that they are THE best manufacturer of gun holsters and I am very happy with my purchase. Highly recommended... (Posted on 6/12/2020)

Well made and the shell portion does fit very nice to my S&W M&P Shield 9. Customer Service is slow to respond and take to long for shipping even before the COVID-19 Pandemic that now is the "major" reason for the slow shipping and respond. (Posted on 5/24/2020)

I just received my holster. Very excited to receive it after the race locally with everyone I spoke with. I have to say now I understand why. The holster is very comfortable, light weight, fits the weapon perfectly with adjustable screws for tension. Put my weapon in and felt natural on my hip. Will not regret the purchase. Total Failure Review by JIm

I Recently used this holster for a 3 day Tactical pistol class, The AG Holster performance was extremely poor. It nearly lead to me being dropped out of the class... the holster is Garbage (Instructors words 30yr tactical operator).

The problems stated below lead to attempting to replace the holster mid-class (unsuccessfully during lunch) and ultimately to modify the holster on the range by cutting the offending part that was causing the problems off to prevent dropping out of the class...

Problems.
Problem 1. Design the back material that covers the upper rear of slide (great for comfort) but caused problems on the draw and on returning to holster.

On the Draw the backing prevented gaining a proper thumbs up high master pistol grip on the pistol thus preventing a proper high thumb forward grip. You go in for at high grip on the beaver-tail and your thumb either ends up grabbing the back of the holster too or you adjust the thumb down to avoid the holster and you loose the high grip

On the return to holster it makes it harder to locate the holster if to don;t hit it clean. you fight it.

Problem 2
Draw retention was over restrictive even when adjusted. to the extreme it was tight, return to holster was also tight funnel you had to hit it perfect of it tended to want to push the slide back.

I tried to replace it day 1 from a local gun shop with another brand but none were available locally we ended up cutting off some of the offending tab removing materiel to about 1/4" to the rear of the slide stop (i think further would may have been even better) this removing produced an immediate improvement both in the ability to get a better master grip (it still cased issues just not as much) and in relocating and re-holstering one handed blind

If you want a comfortable holster to hold your gun while walking around at the range it is fine for that. Will I wear it when my life may depend on me drawing and presenting and things count and there is no "do-overs" No I will not. Would I recommend it Never.

Am I disappointed, beyond words. When I see holster at 1/2 the price work flawlessly and try them the words that come to mind are not fit to print.
I have 2 AG holsters 1 goes to the trash, thank god for e-bay for the other. (Posted on 5/19/2020)

The holster holds the weapon great, however it is not very comfortable the screw come through as you have to keep them real right or they come out. Screw actually comes through pants on skin. (Posted on 4/10/2020)

Darn Near Perfect-Suggestions Review by Ziggy

Excellent OWB holster for my new M&P9 Shield EZ. Thanks for having one for a new model gun. Well made and meets AG reputation. This will be my EDC holster. A few suggestions: 1. The new trim band on the outer edge; as it passes around, where the gun is inserted into the holster, the gun will rub and bend this edging back-it may need tacked down with adhesive in this location so the edge does not peel back or is damaged. 2. I ordered the green spacer kit as I want to stay with the Alien theme on my AG holster. The spacer kit has 3 size spacers, 2 sets of 4 spacers and the 3rd set only has 2 spacers....of course the ones I needed and I needed 4. I trimmed down 2 of the larger ones to the same size. So please, include 4 spacers of each size. 3. IF you are behind in production due to heavy orders/holiday orders/ or in my case...you ran out of parts...it would be a courtesy to ship expedited mail for great customer service. For those reading: I used red locktite on the belt clip screws and blue locktite on the holster tension adjustment screws. This is a well made sturdy holster, secures your gun and is great for those who conceal carry OWB or for range use. I plan to enjoy it. Also, thanks to AG for the review on the EZ....you made me purchase it ! BIG smile ! Thanks (Posted on 1/4/2020)
By far the best holster i now own Review by JohnBoy

Just recently purchasing this holster, i immediately had to try it out....so i configured it to where it holds my Sig Sp 2022 9mm full size pistol against my body. And i must admit, no other holster has done the job this one has. I also own a few ....kinda durable holsters that claim to do what this holster does, and im telling you....they do not! im a small guy...5'5" short, and with this holster, i can conceal a full size 9mm comfortably. i also own a Taurus G2S single stack compact 9mm. with the shapeshift IWB that shifts into an OWB holster. Both of these holsters work wonders for both open carry and concealment. An absolute must have !! (Posted on 10/28/2019)
